Remicade Nightmare- I remember sitting for a couple of hours doing Remicade Infusions. On my 6th infusion I went into full ANAPHYLAXIS only 15 minutes into my infusion. The pain hit me first in the middle of my back then my chest. It shut my respiratory system down quickly. I had to stomp my foot to get the nurses attention, I heard her screaming for help, then I blacked out. So much for my Remicade Journey :(( K. Lomax

Truth: Giving an antihistamine like Benadryl rather than epinephrine can have devastating consequences. Epinephrine is the only treatment for anaphylaxis and it is safe. Our 11-Year-Old Takes Charge in Emergency - Allergic Living
We cannot stress enough how important it is to always read labels and act quickly to call 911 once an epinephrine auto-injector has been administered. After epinephrine has been given, emergency medical care is required immediately -- severely allergic individuals may continue to experience symptoms of anaphylaxis. They may need emergency respiratory or cardiac care, or even to be resuscitated – in case where the breathing stops altogether.
